Why Aren’t More People Doing It?
You’ve heard it already. Law of attraction can generate abundance in all facets. Just think about what you want and, presto chango, it shall materialize. But does it really work that way?
About 13 years ago, a group of college friends and I decided to watch “The Secret.” There were 5 of us sitting on a couch, taking it all in. By the end of the movie, 2 of us really resonated with the message. The other 2 quickly dismissed the films suggested concept of creating a reality through thought. I found that moment to be a major split between our futures. In retrospect, looking back it all makes sense how our lives turned out.
After I graduated from college I got my first gig as an Assistant Director of Admissions for the Private School Sector. I was already focusing on making 45k a year before I even graduated. I had an image in my mind of a suit and tie. Corporate world. And that’s exactly what I got.
I was making 45k a year in my mid 20s and I was pretty comfortable. But then the school shut down. So I got another job in the same field. Three months later I was fired for failing a compliance test by 2 points. So I got another job in the same field. Six months later, 10 of us were let go because the school wasn’t generating enough revenue and had to make cut-backs. Losing a job three times in three years really begins to break your spirit.
I had to go back to retail. Something I vowed never to do again
I started selling high-end watches on worth avenue, Palm Beach. Right next to Donald Trumps castle. It wasn’t so bad. But I spent 8 hours each day, mostly alone in a small watchshop. I probably saw two customers a day. The job may work for other people, but i found it to be spiritually debilitating. Very lonely. I spent most of my time completing homework and studying for my masters degree. I thought my solution was to earn another degree! Isn’t that how we are programmed??? If you haven’t made it yet, go back to school? Go deeper into debt?
At this point I was spending a lot of time using my skills as a graphic designer to create ads and memes regarding health with the intention of provoking thought. I also really enjoyed writing and speaking to people about detox, nutrition and natural medicine. But I was making very little money doing it. A few clients each month just doesn’t pay the bills. Many times I thought, “it would be so amazing if I could find a career where I could talk about holistic healing while using my creative skills at the same time.” But I didn’t want to do all this to pay the rent. I wanted to invest my time doing what I loved and I wanted to become WEALTHY doing it!
One day while I sat in the watch shop, something powerful happened to me. It was during one of the three waves of ascension back in September, 2015. I remember looking out from the very dark shop I sat and seeing the light from outside pour in brighter. I felt a complete peace and hope. I’ve had it happen to me before when I was about 23 years old. I couldn’t help but tear-up. The song “Let’s get rich” by Ingrid Michaelson was playing and it was divine synchronicity because at this chapter of my life I really needed to open a door to abundance. At that moment I unlocked two important factors to utilizing Law of attraction. My “why.” Which was to provide for my family. And raising my vibration to complete love and peace (my higher mind) while sending out for what I wanted to manifest.
This is interesting
The Universe tends to show you the answers to your questions a lot. But people ignore them or don’t pay attention. For over a year my friend Marlene was suggesting I begin a business partnership with her. I kept dismissing the offer. This part is so interesting to me because the solution to our problems tends to be in our face, but maybe we aren’t in the right mind to recognize it. Until that day, nothing made sense.
Suddenly I trusted the universe and let it drive me. I stepped onto the wave. I knew it was sending me somewhere. That week Marlene asked that I move to Orlando so we could collaborate! Incredible timing. And finally, after almost two years, I said YES.

Realizing who you truly are and what you are meant to do.
I walked into her home and there was Buddha statues and oil diffusers. Her office had healing oils everywhere. It was like a Wizard's cavern. It was perfect. And I noticed that she took her business very seriously. Her office was dedicated to health and wellness. I realized then one of my greater purposes in life was to teach about health and healing.
Today I am an independent business owner. I make my own hours and I can work while on vacation whenever I want. No boss. No quota I don’t make for myself. I spend my time teaching people to heal themselves naturally. I post about detox, nutrition and healing oils on social media, often with memes I create. I travel whenever I like, for as long as I want. I am exactly where I want to be. What I asked to manifest. Abundance! And HAPPINESS.
We have to be very clear of what we want. And important, we must be in peace and love vibration when sending the signal out.
When I manifested working in the corporate world, was that really what I wanted? And was I ever asking to be happy??? No. I had an image in my mind of what I thought success was. And the Universe gave me what I asked for. But since I was not aligned with that path, I kept falling off the rail. Until I finally woke up!
