I drank Vegetable Juice for 15 years
My Experience & Two Anti-Aging Recipes I Used.
15 years is a long time. Although I didn’t drink vegetable juice every single day, admittedly, I’d say I was consistent 80% of the way. A tall glass of murky liquid, many would equate to drinking dirt, was one of the most transformational additions to my overall health. Energy, sex drive, physical regeneration, emotional stability, vegetable juice forever improved the quality of my life. And yes, it kept me young. I’m going to share this with YOU along with some of my favorite recipes!
I’m currently 38 years old approaching middle-age. I doubt you’ll need a calculator but to save you the trouble, 15 years ago I was 23. That’s when I began the vegetable juice journey and never stopped.
Vegetables and Human Health
Vegetable Juice has raw nutrients. Nutrients are good for you. Makes sense, right? You’d be surprised how that simple concept escapes most people. At what point in human history did we begin to debate the importance of eating a vegetable? Yet here we are.
Phytonutrients and minerals are plentiful in plants. As a health coach, I currently have hundreds of clients in 12 countries and in our initial consultation, a good 98% of them did NOT consume the required 7 to 13 servings of vegetables per day. And what they did typically consume, most of it wasn’t organic nor raw. Even the vegans! I’m convinced that this is one of the missing pieces in many lives and I encourage people to direct their focus to getting more plants into their diet immediately.
The difference between eating vegetables vs drinking the juice
Plant-based juices are liquid nutrition that your body absorbs immediately. The juicer does the processing by separating the nutrients from the fiber so that your body doesn’t have to do the work. This method is especially useful for ill people that are unable to process food efficiently which is why so many natural health centers known for healing people of serious illness recommend a stringent juice diet.
Yes, and absolutely, you should still eat fruits and vegetables. Fiber is important. But most people would have a difficult time eating 13 bowls of vegetables every.
You may struggle to eat your way through the required vegetable intake. Especially when they are raw. To combat the epidemic of illness in the western world, 10 servings of plants (mostly vegetables) every day is what we should really aim for, and juicing is a powerful start in the right direction!
Can vegetable juice really help slow aging ?
Aging is normal and natural. Accelerated aging is not. This is a clear symptom that the body is degenerating too fast. Like most illness, the primary culprits are heightened emotional stress, malnutrition and toxic-overload. Many people are experiencing all three at the same time.
Oxidative stress is one of the underlying characteristics of aging. Oxidative stress is basically an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants in your body. Lack of nutrients, and too much toxicity in the body leads to severe oxidative stress, which causes degenerative illness including premature aging.
Lucky us! The necessary nutrients and antioxidants needed to counter oxidative stress are found in plants! We flood them into our body by consuming vegetables.
I’ll mention that the month I started juicing vegetables, I also quit cigarettes, alcohol and junk food. For many, that alone probably feels absolutely daunting. But remember that health isn’t just about what we put into our body. A big part of illness prevention and anti-aging is what we do not put into our body.

My trick for cleaning the produce of contaminants!
Rince produce in a large glass bowl with purified water. And I’m talking truly purified water. Not Britta or tap! Britta doesn’t even remove arsenic or fluoride. Tap water, at least in the United States, has been found to have many traces of toxins. A study shows that more than 100,000 cancer cases could be caused by contamination in tap water. You don’t want that crap in your juice.
Add about 1 teaspoon baking soda and 3 drops lemon oil. The lemon oil should be 3rd party tested and make sure the company that manufactures the oil publishes their papers for purity and chemical effectiveness.
Here are two anti-aging recipes I suggest you start using right away!
Juice 1, Young and Spicy
- 3 Carrots
- 6 Celery sticks
- 1 Inch knob of ginger
Juice 2, Green Vitality
- 2 Cucumbers
- 4 Kale leaves
- 1 Bunch Parsley

Whether you’re 15 years old or 85, incorporating organic raw vegetable juice into your diet will help improve your overall well-being. It doesn’t matter when we die. We could lose our life tomorrow. What matters is the quality of life we lead while we are alive. Drink your vegetables. Cheers.
